Our partner organization Educator from Czechia successfully organized a series of workshops and preparations for an upcoming concert event. Held on June 2, 2023, the event aimed to promote solidarity, inclusion, and diversity through the power of music. The workshops were held at the esteemed cultural house of Pelhřimov, Czechia, and saw the active participation of both local young individuals from Pelhřimov and members of the Ukrainian migrant youth community. A total of 25 enthusiastic participants dedicated themselves to honing their musical talents and preparing three captivating songs as part of the POMEM project. The POMEM project, centered on fostering unity and celebrating diversity, aims to create a platform for artistic expression while emphasizing the importance of inclusivity. By bringing together young people from different backgrounds and cultures, the project seeks to bridge divides and strengthen bonds within the community.
During the workshops, participants underwent rigorous training sessions and rehearsals, guided by experienced musicians and mentors. These dedicated professionals provided valuable guidance, helping the participants refine their vocal skills, harmonize their melodies, and perfect their stage presence. The chosen songs, carefully selected to reflect the core values of the POMEM project, carry powerful messages of solidarity, inclusivity, and diversity. Through their heartfelt performances, the participants aim to inspire audiences and encourage them to embrace unity and acceptance.
The concert, scheduled for a future date, promises to be an unforgettable event, showcasing the talent and dedication of the young participants. As the final preparations are underway, excitement and anticipation fill the air, as the organizers and participants eagerly look forward to sharing their message of unity through the universal language of music. By providing a platform for young individuals to express themselves artistically and collaborate across cultural boundaries, Czechia and its partner organization, Educator, reaffirm their commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and harmony within the community. The POMEM project serves as a shining example of how music can serve as a powerful tool to bring people together, fostering a more cohesive and compassionate society.
